01 · Why we train

Sub-Saharan Africa has about 90 researchers per million people. Europe and North America have more than 4,000. Here, every scientist counts. Africa will need far more microbiologists, molecular biologists and genomicists to make its own diagnostics, treatments and vaccines. We train them.

ELEVATE

Empowering Learners through Excellence, Vision and Advanced Training Experiences

Six intensive days in our laboratories. Less time listening, more time doing: you culture, extract, amplify, interpret and troubleshoot, then leave able to do what you could not do the week before.

Bring ELEVATE to you

Sponsor a cohort, co-host a module, or have us deliver ELEVATE in your own laboratory, tailored to your team.

Become a partner

Master the bench

Culture, susceptibility testing, DNA extraction, PCR and gel electrophoresis, on real bacterial isolates.

Troubleshoot like a pro

Interpret data critically and fix failed experiments so your results are reproducible.

Design fundable research

Turn an AMR question into a concept note, with our grant-writing sprint.

Lead your career

Biosafety, quality and the leadership skills to grow in African research.

04 · Track record

A track record you can verify.

2022

Research Skills & Applied Molecular Biology

Three days of good laboratory practice, microbiology, ethics and genomics. 86 applicants for 12 places.

2023

Pupil Empowerment Outreach

100 secondary school pupils discovered micropipetting, microscopy and infection prevention.
